Autumn is in full swing and winter is just round the corner. Rain, cold, mud and dark days really put your bike to the test. That’s why Fietsencentrum Mobiel is organising ‘Free Check-up Week’ from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 November. Pop into our shop at Minister Tacklaan 57 in Kortrijk, have your bike checked for faults and (hidden) wear and tear free of charge, and get a Mobiel or Perron 2 gadget as a bonus!
During the free check-up campaign week, we’re placing extra emphasis on the importance of proper bicycle maintenance. After all, a bike that is regularly checked and maintained is not only more pleasant to ride, but above all safer. This is particularly true during the winter months, when rain, damp and road salt cause extra wear and tear.
During Free Check-up Week, you’re welcome to visit Fietsencentrum Mobiel (Perron 2) at Minister Tacklaan 57 in Kortrijk (behind the station). Kom langs met je fiets bij Mobiel, scan ter plaatse de QR-code en onze Mobiel-medewerkers bekijken gratis de algemene staat van je fiets.
We check for any faults and signs of wear and tear. This gives you an immediate insight into the condition of your bike and lets you know if certain parts need extra attention. The check-up is completely free of charge and does not involve the replacement of any parts.

If the check reveals that your bike needs servicing or repairs, you’re, of course, welcome to come to us for that. We’ll discuss together what needs to be done, so that you can make a well-informed decision about the further maintenance or repair of your bike.
A little something extra for everyone who drops by! During the promotional week, anyone who has a free check-up, quick repair, repair or maintenance carried out will receive a lovely Mobiel or Perron 2 gadget as a gift. Think of a handy Perron 2 key ring or a fluorescent Mobiel wristband.
Do pop in during Free Check-up Week!

Why your bike needs looking after in winter too
A thorough bike check is no luxury when the temperatures drop. Rain and damp can cause rust; mud and dirt damage moving parts; and road salt accelerates wear and tear.
Yours too Brakes, tyres, lights and bike chains deserve extra attention at this time of year.
Brakes that work properly, tyres at the correct pressure and clearly visible lights make a world of difference on dark and wet days. What’s more, timely maintenance can help spot minor problems before they develop into major and more expensive repairs.
You can visit Mobiel all year round
Have you noticed that your brakes aren’t working as well as they should, your chain is squeaking or your tyres are worn out? If so, don’t wait until you break down on the road. Regular checks will help you to continue cycling safely and comfortably.
At Fietsencentrum Mobiel, you can come in all year round for bike repairs and maintenance. From a puncture or a minor repair to a thorough service: our bike mechanics will be happy to get you back on the road safely.
